He’s making the news: Issam El Maguiri, the new president of the National Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants

He has just been elected head of the National Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants. His election was ratified by the Council with 199 votes. He finished ahead of Leila Andaloussi (150 votes), Amine Baakil (130 votes), Aziz Bidah (126 votes), Samir Agoumi (110 votes), Faiz Majid (104 votes), Samir Bennis (102 votes), Ahmed Chahbi (95 votes), Mohamed Bennouna (94 votes), Larbi Oufir (93 votes), and Salah Ghazouli (88 votes).

Issam El Maguiri obtained his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech in 1995. In 2002, he obtained the National Diploma of Chartered Accountant from the Higher Institute of Commerce and Business Administration (ISCAE) before obtaining the National Doctorate in Management Sciences, Finance and Accounting from the same institute in 2016. Between 2003 and 2004, he held the position of Managing Partner at Darly & Co before founding his firm El Maguiri & Associates.
